FAQ's

Common questions

How much does a session cost and how do I book?

A session is 55 minutes long and costs £65. This is the same whether it's counselling online or in-person in the Sunningdale therapy room. To book you can contact me via the 'Contact' page of my website, email me at charlotte@upforair.co.uk or by mobile on 07492 552291.

What days do you work?

I currently work Monday to Friday between 9.30am to 2.30pm but can offer sessions outside of this with prior arrangement including weekends.

What can I expect?

The first session or two focuses on understanding your personal journey and where you may feel stuck or need change. It’s very relaxed and conversational and absolutely nothing to feel anxious about. Clients often comment that they look forward to the sessions.

What kind of challenges do you work with?

Difficulties come in many forms but common challenges are: anxiety, depression, ADHD and ASD related, trauma, low self esteem, OCD, relationship issues, abuse, low self confidence, stress, anger, attachment disorder, health anxiety, loneliness, social anxiety and suicide.

Is the initial phone call free?

Yes, we would have an initial phone call to understand what is on your mind and give you the chance to ask any questions. This takes 15-20 minutes and is free with no obligation to book further if you so decided.

Are sessions flexible?

I offer a flexible approach to your bookings because I know weeks can vary enormously in people’s lives. Regular sessions, certainly to begin with, do seem to have a positive impact more quickly as opposed to ad hoc but it’s very much down to the individual.

What about privacy and confidentiality?

Everything said within sessions is private and confidential. All Counsellors must have professional clinical supervision themselves regularly so the only time a ‘case’ may be discussed is in these sessions but again confidentially with no names mentioned.

Are you covered by an ethical body?

I am a member of the NCPS National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society and follow their rules and ethics for practice.

How many sessions will I need?

This varies greatly from individual to individual. For guidance we often suggest an initial 6 sessions with a review afterwards but there is no time limit. You may decide after 3 sessions a weight has lifted or you may choose to continue much longer.

What areas do you cover?

The therapy room is based in Sunningdale but I cover all areas from local (Sunninghill, Ascot, Virginia Water, Windsor, Egham, Camberley) to further afield via my online service.
